This is how we make direct extrusion snacks

Direct extrusion snacks are delicious, crispy snacks. They are so called because the ingredients are processed under high pressure and temperature in a special extruder machine. This means we can adjust the mass to whatever shape or texture we want.

As soon as the mixture leaves the extruder, the pressure is suddenly and drastically reduced. This allows the product to expand suddenly, resulting in an airy, crunchy snack.

Well-known examples of direct extrusion snacks are corn curls, puffed quinoa snacks and the well-known twisty chips.
